At Neubauer Mental Health Services (NMHS), we provide confidential, trauma-informed therapy for survivors of sexual abuse — children, adolescents, and adults. You will never be rushed to share more than you’re ready to. We’ll move at your pace, help you feel safe again, and support your healing journey — wherever it begins.

Understanding Sexual Abuse Trauma
- Shame, guilt, or self-blame
- Anxiety or hypervigilance
- Difficulty with intimacy or relationships
- Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive thoughts
- Emotional numbness or dissociation
- Depression or feelings of worthlessness
- Trust issues and social withdrawal
- Body image struggles or self-injury
- Unexplained physical symptoms or chronic pain

Therapy for Survivors Includes

EMDR and other trauma-specific techniques (if and when you're ready)
Emotional regulation and grounding strategies
Processing trauma in a way that honors your readiness
Rebuilding self-worth, confidence, and trust
Guidance for navigating legal, medical, or family systems (if requested)
Parent support and safety planning for child survivors
Support for Child and Teen Survivors
- Play-based or developmentally appropriate therapy
- Non-leading, trauma-sensitive conversations
- Family support sessions and parenting guidance
- Collaboration with CPS, schools, or legal systems (only with consent or as legally required)
