Outpatient Therapy for Children and Teens Struggling Emotionally or Behaviorally
When Kids Are Struggling, Parents Often Feel Lost. We’re Here to Help You Both.
Is your child more withdrawn, angry, or anxious than usual? Are you receiving behavior reports from school, noticing signs of emotional distress, or feeling like you just don’t know how to reach them anymore?
At Neubauer Mental Health Services (NMHS), we specialize in child and adolescent counseling that’s built on trust, clinical expertise, and deep respect for both the young person and their family. We help children, teens, and their caregivers work through emotional and behavioral challenges — together.

How Child & Adolescent Therapy Works
Our clinicians are trained in child development and youth mental health. Therapy may include:
Play-based or talk-based approaches (depending on age)
Emotional regulation tools and coping skills
Social and communication skill-building
Parent education and support sessions
Collaborative goal-setting with caregivers
Trauma-informed care when appropriate
We also collaborate with schools, physicians, or case workers when needed — always with your permission and in the best interest of your child.
Support for Parents, Too
We work closely with parents to:
- Understand your child’s behaviors and emotions
- Respond effectively to challenging situations
- Set consistent boundaries without power struggles
- Rebuild connection, trust, and communication
